KOFA national Wildlife Refuge was established in 1939 and encompasses 665,000 acres of pristine desert. Native to KOFA are bighorn sheep (estimated at 800-1000 sheep), the desert tortoise, kit fox and numerous birds and reptiles. We were invited by Richard Payne of azastronomy.com to come and view the very dark skies. This gallery also includes a quad trip from the M.S.& T. Road / Road 22 junction to Crystal Hill, a 36 miles round trip with Harold of Mesa.
