For the last day of my trip, we decided to drive over to Sugarite Canyon on the New Mexico/Colorado border. As we were traveling along Highway 456 not far west of Kenton, we spotted a herd of Bighorn sheep just north of the highway on the flank of a butte just west of Wedding Cake butte. Here is a picture of the butte from an earlier trip.
