Reworks (HDR)

I am experimenting with HDR, and this gallery has been set up to showcase some of my earlier work, re-processed as HDR images. In the main, these have been created from RAW files, from which I have saved 5 different versions, each each one at +/-1ev from the last. I am currently using Photomatix Pro to combine them and finishing the result off in photoshop.

Thanks must go to all my fellow photographers on Pbase who are also playing with this technique, as their inspiration spurs me on to better things.

Thanks for the vote of confidence Kevin.
It is easy to overdo the HDR effect, or over saturate the pictures.
I'm still surprised by some of the results I'm getting - it does take some getting used to to spot a potential shot in the making !

I have never tried these HDR edits yet, Most of what I have seen is well overdone and looks false, These however look great. great compositions and great processing. GMV

I enjoy your work a great deal Geoff. I am experimenting now with HDR on nature photos and I like the results. I don't think anyone can ever master HDR methods, every road leads to another road.

I just downloaded Viveza and am using it on the 16 bit tiffs I get from Photomatix Pro. It really adds another dimension. Viveza is the best plugin I have ever seen. Totally amazing. Worth trying if you haven't seen it, 15 day fully functional trial.

If it interests you, I have my HDR work posted in my Arkansas Landscape Photography gallery. I have a show Sunday, it will be interesting to see if this stuff sells.
