These shots are simply amazing. I love shooting flowers, and I am inspired by your work. What I am truly impressed with is that these were not picked, but shot in there natural environment, but the backgrounds are black, not blurred. Voted.
it is so difficult to select best out of these. Each picture is too good. I think the best way I can justify your good work is; "I can almost smell the flowers!" Great work!

I really love your flora photo gallery! composition and lighting is perfect! It almost melt my heart and can't stop looking at them.. it's sooo beautiful! If only I could vote 10x, I'd do it.. :o)
jojobar,
Most shots are taken in natural environment using flash(es) - normally 1 on the lens (ring flash) and 1 off-camera. Some tulip shots were taken indoors, again using flash(es).
Regarding post processing, I just do normal stuff, e.g. level adjustment & sharpening. I may also tidy up the background if anything's showing. I also add slight 'soft' effect for some shots. Hope this helps.
Jun,
I normally use Canon MR-14EX (ring flash) on the lens and 550EX off-camera. I often choose the background that's separated from the subject, then use of fast enough shutter speed and small aperture underexposes the BG, therefore the subject is lit and BG comes out dark. I find that side or back lighting with slave flash works the best.

great flower gallery!! amazing shots and great collection of flowers!!=D
Superb floral shots! The flash lighting and the dark background sets them apart from ordinary macro pics. Any hint on the lighting techniques used would be most appreciated. Many thanks.
Pedro,
Only the tulips were cut flowers bought in a shop/garden centre, then shots were taken indoors. But I wouldn't call it a studio setting. ;-) The rest of them were taken in their natural environment.
