Juvenile Frillneck being cryptic

Kakadu National Park, NT, Australia

Frillneck lizards rely heavily on camouflage to avoid being eaten by larger and hungrier animals. The smaller you are, the more
larger animals there are, and so it follows that small lizards would benefit by being better camouflaged than big ones. Hence
finding juvenile frillnecks is very difficult except for the trained eye. I am lucky enough to have two trained eyes.
