Jacky Lizard, Amphibolurus muricatus

Wollemi National Park NSW

Sharp eyesight and good camouflage are essential for a lizard that likes to perch on stumps and logs. jacky lizards are most
abundant in open woodlands but manage in heath communities as well where they catch invertebrates. The lining of the mouth is
bright yellow, something you are only likely to discover moments before the other discovery, that these lizards have sharp teeth.
Not up there with goannas, but sharp enough.
