Tasmanian Funnelweb

Cradle Valley, Tasmania, Australia

I am not sure what species this creature actually belongs to, but it has the typical (and rather creepy) habits of funnelweb spiders
and a number of other Mygalomorphs of reacting rapidly to the disturbance of the triplines that run past the burrow entrance.
I once lived with two arachnophobes in Cradle Valley and they would be deeply disturbed by what I did on my nocturnal ramblings.
