Carnage

NSW Australia

This attractive photograph is of the inside of the engine bay of my Subaru after driving through a plague of Plague locusts,
Chortoicetes terminifera, North of Mudgee in NSW. Unfortunately "Odorama" has not been developed sufficiently for the viewer to
appreciate the fragrant bouquet of cooking grasshopper which wafted over me (nearly causing me to "toss my cookies") whenever
I stepped out of the car. The sheer biomass of a superorganism* such as a plague of grasshoppers is extraordinary.
An excellent smiting tool.

*note to Monty Python fans- could this be an explanation for the Knights who say "Ni!!"?
