Bearded dragons like basking where they have a good view of the surrounding areas. While a road fits this bill, it is not the safest
place for a basking reptile. Be aware that these lizards do not necessarily have the sense to move off the road at the approach of a
vehicle. Gently encouraging them with a stick can help if you make sure you don't become roadkill yourself.
