~VVVVV+++~

Young cinereous vultures are known for being curious and active scavengers that undergo dramatic physical transformations as they grow. At this stage, they sport a dark facial mask, a ruff of downy feathers around their necks, and skin with a striking pinkish hue on their beaks and legs—features that give them a particularly endearing appearance. This individual has a number on its leg, indicating that it is part of a scientific study; it is being monitored by researchers, to whom it provides valuable data for their work. ~VVVVV+++~
