La Galerie Colbert d'origine, construite en 1826 avec une architecture élégante, était surmontée d'une spectaculaire coupole de verre. Cependant, ce centre commercial n'attirait pas le public et tomba en désuétude en 1890. Reconstruite en 1985, elle a conservé son architecture et ses éléments décoratifs. Aujourd'hui, la Galerie Colbert n'est plus un centre commercial, mais un centre d'art et de culture, abritant l'Institut national d'histoire de l'art et l'Institut national du patrimoine. ~VVV~

The original Galerie Colbert was built with architectural elegance, topped with a spectacular glass dome in 1826. However, this mall did not attract the public and eventually fell into disuse in 1890. It was rebuilt in 1985, with its architecture and decorative elements reproduced. Now Galerie Colbert is no longer a shopping mall, but a centre of art and culture, housing the Institut National d'Histoire de l'Art and the Institut National du Patrimoine. ~VVV~

Impressive gallery. I missed this one (but you don´t have the time to see everything in Paris)..V
