Thanks for sharing this: I think Francis James O'Neill is my great grandfather (on my mother's side): this is the first time I have knowingly seen a photo of him.

I believe the man top left in the raincoat and trilby is my Taid. Francis James O'Neill 1886/1968. He cane to Bronaber/Traws Camp as a lad from Glasgow during the construction pre phase WW1, served in the BEF, Old Contemptables, Royal Engineers. Post WW1 he was the caretaker of the camp as it was for many years only garisoned diring summer months. My Nain cooked and landered for the offices when Rhu Goch (spelling) was used as an officers mess. Nain and Taid lived there and in the old post office , Trawsfynydd where my father was born John Ypres O'Neill. In his latter years Taid and Nain lived at St Thomas in Bronaber (Tin Town).
Thank you for compiling the historical photoes of the Camp. I have fond memories of walking with Taid around the camp while he pointed out what all the various buildings wee used for. During the Depression it was said that every boy in Traws wore shorts made from Army blankets thanks to Taid.
Thank you for compiling the album. Francis James O'Neill, Perth Australia.

Yes you're right Rory, Adolf's family were well known painters and decorators and all sported the same style moustache. Adolf apparently was furious with his uncle over this photo and tried to have it banned! :-)
