Glaucous-winged Gull near adult
Mantle tone is roughly that of adult Ring-billed and Herring gulls, possibly a bit darker. Importantly, the gray of the primaries is approximately the same as this mantle tone (see later spread-wing images). White apical tips are present. White secondary skirt and tertial step are prominent, characteristic of species.
Leg color is pink, though soiled by the red dirt of the landfill.
