Glaucous-winged Gull near adult

Shows the partially-hooded effect shown by this bird, with horizontally-oriented smudging typical of the species. The face, particularly anteriorly, is rather dark which in a landfill setting may represent soiling. Pink coloration of legs better demonstrated here, similar to Herrings and much different than nearby adult Ring-billeds.
