Black-legged Kittiwake adult/near-adult

A curious thing about this Black-legged Kittiwake is the lack of black legs! Rarely orange or reddish legs are reported for that species, but not the bright red of Red-legged. This bird shows dusky flesh color to the feet and visible tarsi. Usually even immatures would also have black or quite dark legs, so this is unusual. Possibly this is also related to a bird just coming into adulthood.
