First winter hike

One thing I learned during my two first months of living in Bern is that sometimes the sun doesn't shine there for several weeks long. Not because of clouds, but because of a thin layer of fog at an altitude of 800 to 1200 meter. This can be really depressing... Luckily there is an easy solution to feel better: you just have to go to the mountains, as the sun always shines above the fog!!!

Here you see a few results of my first escape to the sunny mountains. Because of the first snowfall coming late this year, I could do a real mountain hike from Kandersteg (1200m) to the Oeschinensee (1600m), and beyond. On the 12th of December! Before this day I had never been in the mountains besides in summertime, so everything I saw was wonderful to me: the frozen lake, icefalls everywhere...

Because of a litle amount of time available, I've only processed the images I liked best. I hope you'll enjoy them, and maybe I'll add some more pics in the near future.
