A picture of the Sun as seen from my window. The massive sunspots illustrate nicely that we're near a solar maximum at the moment. The big ones are about the size of Earth... This picture was taken using the lcd screen of my camera, as looking through the optical viewfinder would have burnt my eye - something not to forget in case you want to try this yourself!
