This beautiful river runs through the Selway Bitterroot Wilderness to join the Lochsa, the Clearwater, the Snake, and the Columbia, and all splashing with gravity to the Pacific. You have to respect the salmon who must fight all this to return 1000 miles to lay eggs and die.
