This is the main railway station that connects to Malaysia since over 100 years... it's era has come to an end as of 1 July, 2011. The Tanjong Pagar Railway Station, is iconic in many ways - the political controversies that it generated between the governments of Malaysia and Singapore because of it's location - it's considered to be Malaysian territory. The matter was finally resolved and the new station is relocated to the Woodlands immigration centre, bordering Malaysia.
This place has captured the hearts of many generations of Singaporeans and Malaysians... This photo-essay was done late June in the early hours of morning (thus the low light conditions..) to capture it's final spirit... taken with my Leica, in-camera curved to antique B&W - straight out of the box... untouched....
