Lynx Lake is situated in Nancy Lake State Park near Willow north of Anchorage. It is one of the many small lakes in that area and we decided to stay there for four nights.
KD and Mike flew in by float plane with all our gear and food, Bev and I paddeled in with two canoes, traversing six lakes and portaging the canoes in between.
Weather was mostly fine and the water was surprisingly warm and inviting for a swim. Bev and Mike tried to catch some fish, without any success.
The days were very relaxing, even when there was some excitement when a young black bear popped out of the bushes twice just 10ft/3m in front of Bev ( sorry, no photos). Luckiely it was scared enough of people to run away.
