Katherine Gorge NP/Nitmiluk is a 12km long section of the Katherine River, which cuts deeply through the sandstone of the Arnhem Plateau. The gorge itsself is divided into 13 subsections of extremly slow running water, seperated by small waterfalls or shallow waters.
