NGC 6166 is a huge emission nebula in Ara, a constellation only visible from southern latitudes. NGC 6164/6265 is the small S-shaped nebula in the upper right corner of the image. Its distinct shape is caused by massive mass ejection and strong radiation of the central Wolf-Rayet star.
