SH2-37 is the bright red emission nebula is the center of the image, nicely color contrasted by the blue reflection nebulae vdB 118 and vdB 119.
The star-rich region with many hot blue stars in the upper right area is part of the big star cluster M 24.
The red filaments at the middle of the right edge of the image are part of a supernova remnant.
