M 57 - The 'Ring Nebula' in Lyra

Nerpio/Spain

M 57 is a bright planetary nebula, about 2300 light years away from us.
It also has a faint halo, barely visible in the image.
The barred spiral galaxy in the upper right corner is IC 1296, which has a distance of about 238 Mill. light years from us.
