NGC 3324/IC 2599 - The 'Gabriela Mistral Nebula' in Carina

Tivoli/Namibia

NGC 3324 is an open cluster at a distance of 9100 light years from us. It is closely associated with the emission nebula IC 2599.
Together they have been nicknamed the "Gabriela Mistral Nebula" due to its resemblance to the Chilean poet.
