We had a little surprise on Nov. 8, 2011--about 4 inches of wet heavy snow. The snow was preceeded by hours of rain and freezing rain, all too much for our silver maple and its lovely yellow leaves. We woke up to a yard full of fallen branches and wrecked gutters (which had just been cleared of leaves at considerable expense). The damage and the happier results of the recovery are depicted-the tree was saved, the yard cleared, and MJ even raked leaves while I and my bad neck assisted.

Yellow against white, a pretty sight
It looked like a lot of damage on the ground, the roof and in the tree
Wright Outdoor was there in two hours, they got the branches off the sidewalk

The whole front yard filled with broken branches
