Hickory Ridge paddle

Paddler John Craun is on a 400 mile paddle to raise money for a wilderness area and to create awareness about the Des Moines River water trail. He paddled 160 miles in his first 3 days, against raging winds and numerous obstacles. On this day, John had a nice group of paddlers float with him down a 10 section of the river. John got to tell some tales, and various leaders got a chance to thank him for his work in raising more than $10,000 in pledges so far. After today, John has another 240 miles to paddle and we all wish him well.
