It was balloon week, and I got down south (to Indianola)several times the week of Aug. 1-5. I took several shots at dusk with a balloon coming down. The morning of 3 August I was at the field at 6:30 AM and caught the flight of more than 100 colorful balloons. The crews take them out
into the countryside, get them into the air, and follow the wind over the target at the central site in full view of the spectators.
In the evening, the landing zone was filled with several dozen balloons of all sorts of shapes, lit up against the night sky. It was really cool.
