Hemlock Ridges is a 57.71 acre (23.35 ha.) property that was purchased by the Bruce Trail Conservancy in 2009. It makes up part of the nearly 10000 acres of property managed by the BTC as part of their mission to secure a continuous conservation corridor along Ontario's Niagara Escarpment and establish a public footpath along its length.
A land steward is assigned to each BTC property (over 200 properties). As the newly assigned land steward for Hemlock Ridges, I hope to capture a photographic record of the landscape as well as the biodiversity of flora and fauna species.
