This early Native American art was created by scratching
with a sharp object on an easily worked surface. They differ
from a similar style of painted art called PICTOGRAPHS, more
commonly found in protected areas and out of the weather.
This gallery was within 100 ft of the nearby school.
With all the farming relics so visible, it is easy
to overlook the fact that the area was first occupied
by the original Americans.
