Waxwings

During March 2005 several flocks of Bohemian Waxwings (first two images) turned up at Wageningen, The Netherlands. Amongst them a Japanese Waxwing was found. Because of some odd features like the pinkish instead of red tail and wing coloration, the bird presumably originates from captivity. Nevertheless many people managed to observe it. As the flock of waxwings declined, the Japanese one suddenly stayed behind alone!
