This protest was called by ANSWER in response to the siege of Fallujah and the standoff with Sadr and his militia, two developments which saw some of the heaviest casualties to Iraqi citizens and Coalition forces and promised a future blood bath with no clear objectives (or prospect of success in achieving those objectives). The rally and march was put together on very short notice (approx. 4 days) and was held over Easter weekend. The march left from Lafayette Park in front of the White House and made its way north, deep into local business districts and neighborhoods. Although considerably smaller in size than the more highly planned marches of the past year, many onlookers came out and showed their support for the group with clapping, "thumbs up", power and peace signs.
No French or German turn on Iraq

French and German government officials say they will not significantly increase military assistance in Iraq even if John Kerry, the Democratic presidential challenger, is elected on November 2.
Mr Kerry, who has attacked President George W. Bush for failing to broaden the US-led alliance in Iraq, has pledged to improve relations with European allies and increase international military assistance in Iraq.
No clear objectives? You need to pay attention! Sadar and his band of terrorists are hidding in places that only cowards would. Islam has and is killing children everyday in the name of their beliefs, and they hide behind them with no regard for them. They have little if any respect for human life. When any nation retaliates against the terrorists, they always say we kill woman and children, what do they care, nothing. They want to have a world under their religous anarchists, and will kill all and themselves to achieve it. If this is their idea of peace, we don't want it.
