Paw Paw produces one of of largest edible fruits found in the Mid-Atlantic region of the USA. It is the only member belonging to this typically tropical family (Anonaceae)that is found this far north. It typically can be found growing in abundance on the rich floodplain forests developed along our larger river basins.
