The Dark Side

Mystic, CT

Courtesy of "Hurricane" Irene

We have seen much worse storms than this,
but rarely have we seen such extensive tree damage and power outages.
We got power back after four days.
Many in our neighborhood are still in the dark.
A mere two miles west of here, they "saw the light" days ago!

A sense of humor will get us through!

The B&W suits the image, and yes I agree humour can help cure all ills

Glad you came through this alright ... amazing have been the photos of the rushing waters.

A sense of humor is important, although these natural disasters certainly challenge it. Take it from someone from Los Angeles!!!

Excellent , we do need sense of humor to get us through .
First look , I thought it was Halloween scene , then I saw no milk , I start realizing the Irene effect .
Well , at least got cookies ,
:)

Great, great signage Georgia! New England got hit much worse than we did in southeastern PA.
Sorry to hear you were without power. Don't know how we escaped that because our neighbors surrounding us were without power for 2 days....
