Lake Nakuru National Park

One of only two completely fenced national parks in Kenya and one of five Eastern Rift Valley soda lakes in Kenya, best known for it huge flocks of flamingos which have decreased significantly since the late 1990s because of dilution caused by excessive rains and pollution from the town of Nakuru which boarders part of the park. It is also a sanctuary for rhinoceros, mostly square-lipped (white) with a few hook-lipped (black) and Rothschild's giraffe - no elephants or migratory species e.g. wildebeest.
