Not good! we had over a week of 79-82* outside with nights in the mid 50's. Then last night (3-26-12) we got down to 21*! Covering everything may not have been enough. Many fruit farmers may have lost entire crops this year. We'll see in a couple days what the damage is. The forsythia/daffodils/peach blossoms are about 4 weeks early. The magnolia is more like 6-8 weeks early! With the cold and the wind, most flowering trees/shrubs lost everything. Let's hope this gets better!
5-2-12 with record highs and almost record lows all in the same week, this spring has not gotten any better. Our flowering pots and tender veggies are still sitting outside during most days (some days are even too cold!) and are in the house at night. The last two+ years we've been able to put our tomatoes out in April.
