...somewhere in Utah. I decided to "play hooky" from work, so I left home before sun-up and went fishing on a small stream about 2 hrs from Salt Lake City. It was a frosty 35F when I left my car at the trailhead (at ~8500 ft elev) just before 8 AM, and ~80F when I returned at ~3:30 PM. Aside from a horde of black flies that surrounded me (I forgot to bring repellent), a wonderful day. I saw only a single person along the 1-1/2 miles of stream I fished. Sure beat the 101F heat in Salt Lake City!
