Kamakura

Well I just finished my two days off and I figured I would go on a little
adventure. Everyone was either working or doing their kids training so I
had the day to myself. I'm not really one to hang around when there is so
much to see, so I grabbed my camera and head down to Kamakura. If you
haven't heard of Kamakura yet, it is absolutly amazing. What makes it so
u ask? Well I'll tell you...

It was the Capital of Japan at one point, in the early 11 hundreds. So there
are a lot of old buildings that reflect that period in ime. It is also the cultural hub for the shinto and buddist religions. There are
shrines everywhere in this small city. It's neat because it's surrounded by
mountains as well, so it's pretty isolated. Many of the shrines are inside
caverns in the mountain, which is just a spectacular sight. Also, it was one of the cities that was not bombed during
WWII, so pretty much every building in the city is hundreds and hundreds of
years old. Its like stepping back in time.
