Last weekend I had the opportunity to travel to Hongdo with Joe and Deryk. The island is approx 115km from the southern shore of Korea. So for me it is just over a two hour ferry ride from my city. The island is 6km long and 2km wide. There are two tiny villages on the island, but the only way to reach them is by boat. All and all, there are only around 600 people living on the island. It was amazing to be there, because when you are on the island, you are surrounded by nothing but ocean.
