Panoramae Verticale

Panus Erectus

It has been said that the great break throughs in this life happen in the briefest flashes of time.
Picture this then ( arghh get out “picture this” in a photo gallery. Go away )
Sunday, holiday long weekend, raining, after 43 degree Saturday, catching up on emails after taking a truckload to the tip to find at 1:23 that it closes at 1:00 PM…. In the pack there is an email from Robaire repeated here verbatim as these things should be :

“We seem to be only doing mainly horizontal panos as VBL and rightly so.
What about the workers???? No, off on a different thought there. What
about vertical panos, is there a place any where, separate gallery, keep
them above the yellow tile in panoramae? . WOTSAYU?.
Robaire”

Setting aside the oblique ref to “the workers”. There was a momentary flash of bright light and a puff of dull brown smoke as the penny dropped with a crash. A vertical panorama indeed. The gauntlet immediately thrown resulted in Robaire producing from his prodigious pano files the Worlds First Panus Erectus which in turn spawned the Panoramae Verticales sub gallery.
All in half an hour or so. Maaaate, the mountains have trembled and produced a runner.

So for the moment the galleria content is a bit limited until we all digest this break through and get out there. Obviously content is important as these are portrait panos all up and down and not round and about, as we have all become focused ( oy stoppit ) on the landscape. It will need a few accompanying notes on the work as we accumulate on how it is done. Perhaps a glass or three of the sacred syrup and a Lunch or two will help as well.

On then with the Motley and Salute Robaire.

Editors note :
What ever is a “Gauntlet” and why ever was it thrown down. Why not just toss it. And. If a Gauntlet is a smaller Gaunt, then what ever was a Gaunt.
Why did it need to be reduced in size, was it unwieldy on horseback.
Was it worn on the head perhaps, smaller heads then. Dunno.

We have prepared specs for Apple, BenQ and Samsung for 24 to 28” diagonal upright “vertical” display monitors capable of a minimum of 4096 vertical pixels and 1024 along the baseline. Will keep you posted on progress
