This Mine casing is one of two known examples mounted here on either side of the Memorial . One was found on the site during clearing of bushland. Possibly a practice round. It had been dumped and forgotten. The other had evidently broken free and drifted out to sea , eventually ending up in the Hawkesbury River estuary from where it was recovered.
