I am only placing this two frame pano in the gallery because the master is away in broadest/darkest Africa and out of touch (so far).
I took these pictures after 1971 because the Kennedy Centre (see above at 1.00 o’clock) was opened in that year. the Washington memorial is beyond.
The frames were from a fixed lens 35mm camera and until now they had never been scanned much less stitched.
Their forty year life was spent probably in a dusty shoebox or similar.
When I looked at them during the cull of seventy years of hobby, I thought that modern software ought to be tested as the common area was some of the Potomac river and a lot of leafless trees.
This is offered to those who may have similar strips in similar shoeboxes.
I can do no more with the final image which has been much worked upon to within an inch of it’s life with an indifferent result.
The real point is that modern software makes such panoramas possible.
So it should after forty years........
