This view of the city and Harbour is not as well worn as others. The cleared area beneath the CBD used to be wharves for the working harbour, now lost to other waterways. A new precinct is to be built there with some garden and park areas, commercial and residential buildings. The area was to be named the Hungry Mile, the original name with obvious connotations when early Sydney was small and jobs were scarce. An aboriginal word, unknown to the writer will be added.
