A very long lens shot of Hatshepsut distant. The Temple here is shown in high relief within the bay of cliffs. The cliff top walk a visible and scary reminder. Taken from the eastern side of the Nile at the ancient wharf of the great Karnac Sanctuary the entire river front and crossing is at our feet unseen. The green cane in foreground is on the far bank. It is several kilometers from where we stand to the Temple. Hatshepsut built extensively behind us within Karnac on an amazingly accurate line through the clearly seen ascending ramps.
