Dear viewer you will have to forgive us for this fugitive Galleria inside Yachting in Sydney .
Robaire has in former times included a sailing mackarel so we thought it might be of interest for you to take a look at a recent afternoons sailing on Sydney Harbour in replica eighteen footers. These wonderful boats were originally on Harbour from the early 1900s to about 1950 and the replicas are sailed today by a dedicated group of heroes from the Australian Historical Sailing Skiff Association.
The Fleet sails from the Sydney Flying Squadron and you can catch up with them and their history at
http://www.sydneyflyingsquadron.com.au/historical-skiffs/ The chase boat sails from The Squadron in season on Saturday afternoons and in absolute comfort one can sit at ease with a cool drink at the elbow and watch the fleet and the other denizens of the harbour at work or more possibly at play.
Two images for your consideration are P1200969 and P1200977. P1200969 shows the crew of seven on the replica and P1200977 shows the two crew carrying a modern eighteen between them.
Enjoy
