It is with some trepidation that we introduce our good Mate, Vince. Above all else, our fear is that visiting viewers may immediately see that our Vince is an excellent taker of pics, whereas we tend to stumble along somehere at the rear. If Van Gough had been a photographer, Vince would be a reincarnation.....always assuming that our viewers are of like mind. Not that Vince has an ear problem though, not at all. A long career in both Structural and Civil engineering has this Mate an eye for photography that we mortals can only faintly aspire to while dawdling willingly behind. With his trusty Nikon D100 in hand together with a consequential receipt for the Patagonian National Debt backed by a four year Diploma at the Sydney Institute of Technology (SIT). The story goes that SIT was to be renamed Sydney Higher....... but their Acronym checker decided that TAFE (Technical and Further Education) would be more appropriate as the then governing body did/didn't see the joke.
Vince is a force to be reckoned with and happily brings his talents to the aid of any mates. He was on contract in Durban working with Ove Arrup when his daughter was born. This was a while back though, as she has just made Vince a grandfather. All this by way of saying that Vince was one of the first of our friends to visit Egypt on the way back to OZ. He part climbed the Great Pyramid as well, with his new daughter in the car far below.....Vince has another Grandperson as well, a granddaughter from his son, so with a pigeon pair he has a well established pedigree. Vince worked for major corporations. Gutteridge, Haskins and Davies and Wagon Chapman on the Sydney Centrepoint Tower come to mind, with later work for The Grey Army, helping the Elderly and Infirm.......Our Mate Vincentius retired to happily use the Nikon D100, a huge Mac, scanner and other accessories, as well as attending lunches with like-minded folk...and to struggle south to his escape Shack on the South Coast........We know you will want to see more of Vince's pics and they will emerge now and in the future.
Vincentius has included a Christmas greeting for 2008 a fantastic sunset, sunshots and a couple of panos in his latest January 2009 epic .
