The grounds of the Yi Dynasty palace, walking distance from old downtown Seoul, somehow survived the long period of Japanese colonization and the Korean War and are even now open for public viewing. Some of these images were taken nearly 40 years ago, and others in the late 80s and early 90s. Still I don't believe much has changed.
