Last year (2021), Benji Cogswell and I teamed up in February and made numerous outings around the Chiangmai Lamphun area. These amounted to about a dozen or so between then and August. Suddenly, Benji was stricken with a severe form of optic neuritis, which caused sudden blindness in one eye, and a rapidly deteriorating condition in the other. Several friends and I assisted Benji in making hospital appointments, staying with him and assisting him in various ways, though I did not play a major role here. By the end of October Benji passed away due to other complications that set in. In January, I was diagnosed with co-rectal cancer, and ended up staying in at least one hospital room where Benji stayed, in my case for chemo sessions. I couldn't have imagined this being my fate last September. The take away from this? Things can change rapidly at any given moment. Benji had been an avid photographer for many decades, though not a pbaser, and had traveled to many places on our globe. He uploaded many photographs onto his Facebook page here: https://www.facebook.com/Mrbenji4/photos
