A Chinese Presence

Until the recent Covid-19 crisis, Chinese visitors from Mainland China comprised a significant percentage of the overall number of visitors to Thailand on an annual basis. And once it is over, probably will do so again. But before this recent influx of tourists, there was already a Chinese presence in many provinces throughout the Kingdom dating back to at least the 13th Century.
