Most of the images here contain two or more scanned negatives, or otherwise are manipulations of some sort. Just as memories are often skewered in some manner. 1988 was a big year for me. In July I moved from New York City to Korea to take up a new job. Earlier that year I attended photography classes at the International Center for Photography in Manhattan. In many respects, 1988 was my year zero. My life as an American living abroad began from this year. I had a comfortable job in New York, but felt life was otherwise boring. I needed a change. As a side note, I met my future wife later this year.
